A 28-year-old man was killed Sunday evening after a shooting in Waco, Texas, that also left another man injured. Police identified the victim as Victor Jesus Silva-Delgadillo.
Waco police officers were called to the 3600 block of N. 20th Street at about 5:02 p.m. after receiving reports of a shooting. When officers arrived, they found Silva-Delgadillo and a 19-year-old man suffering from gunshot injuries.

Officers immediately began life-saving treatment at the scene. Both victims were then taken to a local hospital by AMR. Silva-Delgadillo later died from his injuries. The 19-year-old victim survived and is expected to recover.
The shooting has led to two arrests. Police arrested 18-year-old Brayan Hernandez and charged him with tampering with physical evidence. Leonardo Jesús Servin, 20, was charged with deadly conduct.
Hernandez and Servin were booked into the McLennan County Jail. Each was given a $10,000 bond as the investigation continued.
Police said the people involved were known to one another. Investigators also said they believe the shooting was an isolated incident, rather than a random attack. Authorities notified Silva-Delgadillo’s next of kin.
Silva-Delgadillo’s death became Waco’s fourth homicide of 2026. His death now leaves his family and friends dealing with the loss of a 28-year-old man whose life ended in a sudden burst of violence.
The investigation remains focused on what led to the shooting and the actions of those involved. For Silva-Delgadillo’s loved ones, however, the case is also about a life that was cut short and a family now forced to mourn his loss.
