Two people have been arrested after a Sunday evening shooting in Waco that killed 28-year-old Victor Jesus Silva-Delgadillo and injured another man.
The incident happened in the 3600 block of N. 20th Street. Waco police received a report of a shooting at approximately 5:02 p.m. Sunday and sent officers to the area.

When officers arrived, they found Silva-Delgadillo and a 19-year-old man with injuries. Officers began life-saving measures before both men were taken to a local hospital by AMR.
Silva-Delgadillo later died at the hospital. The 19-year-old victim survived and is expected to recover, according to police.
The arrests came as investigators worked to determine what happened. Brayan Hernandez, 18, was charged with tampering with physical evidence. Leonardo Jesús Servin, 20, was charged with deadly conduct.
Both suspects were booked into the McLennan County Jail, where their bonds were set at $10,000 each. Police said the people involved knew one another, and investigators believe the shooting was isolated.
Authorities have notified Silva-Delgadillo’s next of kin. His death marks Waco’s fourth homicide of 2026, adding another fatal case to the city’s homicide count this year.
For those who knew Silva-Delgadillo, the shooting has brought a painful loss without warning. A Sunday evening that began like any other ended with a 28-year-old man dead, another young man recovering, and two people facing criminal charges as police continue examining the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
