Tuesday morning in Gainesville turned into a tragedy when a local woman died in an early-morning crash.
Police officers rushed to the intersection of NE 15th Street and NE 53rd Avenue right around 2:57 a.m. What they found was a destroyed SUV and a tractor-trailer stopped in the middle of the road.
Inside the SUV was 32-year-old Kiara. First responders checked on her immediately, but the impact was too severe. Paramedics pronounced her dead right at the scene.
People who saw the crash told officers that Kiara was driving north on NE 15th Street right before the collision. Her SUV hit the side of the tractor-trailer as it was traveling along NE 53rd Avenue.
