Kaitie Tabor, a 25-year-old mother, died Thursday afternoon after a single-car crash along a Choctaw road, leaving her family and local community in shock.
The fatal wreck happened on September 3 when Tabor lost control of her vehicle. Both Tabor and her three-month-old infant were thrown from the car during the impact.

Six young children were inside the vehicle when it crashed. The children range in age from three months to seven years old, making the scene especially harrowing for responding officers.
Paramedics arrived within minutes and rushed all six young passengers to a local hospital. Despite the violent nature of the crash, doctors reported that all six children are currently in stable condition.
Friends say Tabor dedicated every day to raising her six young kids. At just 25 years old, her daily life revolved around managing a busy household and caring for her babies.
Crash investigators spent hours at the scene collecting evidence and checking the stretch of road. Local police have not yet released details on what caused the car to run off the roadway.
Family members and Choctaw neighbors are now coming together to care for the children. Local folks are organizing meals and child care assistance while the family navigates the hard days ahead.
