Dylan Maxwell was 21 years old and lived in Newark, Delaware, where he worked hard as a plant operator for the H&K Group. On Friday, August 28, 2026, his life came to a sudden end after a motorcycle crash at the intersection of Elkton Road and Thorn Lane.
Growing up in nearby Perryville, Maryland, Maxwell was known by family and friends as someone who appreciated simple everyday moments. He graduated in 2023 from Perryville High School and the Cecil County School of Technology before stepping straight into the local workforce.

Outside of work, Maxwell loved the feeling of freedom that came with riding his motorcycle down open roads. When he was not riding, he spent his free time taking trips to the beach or unwinding with video games on his PlayStation.
Family remained at the center of his daily life. His sister, Chloe Maxwell, remembered their regular routine together, which included late-night car drives, bowling trips, and weekly family dinners that kept everyone close.
News of the fatal wreck stunned those who knew him around his hometown. Close friends recalled Maxwell as a grounded young man who brought quiet humor and steady kindness to those around him.
Services were held at Crouch Funeral Home in North East, Maryland, where relatives and friends gathered to share stories and support one another through the loss. He is survived by his mother Christina R. Daniels, his father James E. Maxwell, his brother C.J. Griffin, his sister Chloe, and his grandparents.
While police continue working to determine exactly what led to the crash, those closest to Maxwell are holding on to the memories of a young man who took genuine pride in his work and loved his family.
