A emergency dispatch call came in at 7:09 on Wednesday morning, reporting two people who were possibly dead at a home outside of town.
Deputies with the Pierce County Sheriff’s Office responded right away and drove out to the rural property located just north of Osmond.

When officers walked into the residence alongside Nebraska State Patrol troopers, they confirmed that 34-year-old Ashley Moes and her 37-year-old husband, Jordan Moes, were both dead.
Both individuals suffered gunshot wounds inside the home. Emergency workers secured the house while investigators set up a perimeter around the property.
Early findings from law enforcement indicate that Ashley died from a gunshot wound. Authorities stated that Jordan died from what appears to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Neighbors along the country road saw emergency lights flashing near the property early that morning. In a small agricultural community like Osmond, word of the shooting spread fast among residents.
County officials scheduled autopsies for Thursday to confirm the exact cause and timing of death for both individuals.
State troopers and local deputies remain on scene to gather physical evidence and complete their official report on the shooting.
