Pablo Angel was only 20 years old with his whole life ahead of him when a quiet Sunday afternoon drive ended in disaster on Saratoga Boulevard.
It was around 4:17 p.m. near Weber Road and Charter Bank. Pablo was riding his motorcycle eastbound along the busy stretch of road.
Another driver was heading west at the same time. That driver pulled across oncoming traffic to turn into a neighborhood, right into Pablo’s path.
The impact was sudden and severe. Emergency crews hurried to the scene and loaded Pablo into an ambulance, heading straight for the nearest hospital.
Doctors worked to save him, but the injuries were too heavy. The Nueces County Medical Examiner’s Office officially confirmed his death after notifying his family.
Since the news broke, friends and family have been coming together, sharing stories and remembering the good times they had with Pablo.
Corpus Christi police are still looking into how the crash happened, as everyone who knew Pablo copes with losing him far too soon.
