A routine morning drive turned fatal Thursday when a two-vehicle collision took two lives at a busy intersection in Logan County.
It happened right around 9:40 a.m. at State Highway 33 and South Broadway. Elizabeth Rozon, 70, of Edmond, was driving a 2007 Jeep northbound on South Broadway. Her passenger was 64-year-old Jenny Killough of Oklahoma City.

Rozon pulled up to the intersection and tried to make a turn eastbound onto Highway 33. At that same moment, a 2008 International commercial truck was heading eastbound down the highway.
The heavy commercial truck slammed straight into the driver’s side of Rozon’s Jeep. The impact smashed the smaller vehicle and forced it to roll over onto the roadway.
State troopers reported that both women were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash. However, the force of the broadside hit left both Rozon and Killough with fatal injuries.
Emergency crews rushed to the scene, but neither woman survived the wreck. Investigators from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol spent hours securing the intersection and reconstructing the accident.
Troopers confirmed that next of kin for both Rozon and Killough have been notified as family members grapple with the sudden loss.
