A young mother from Bainbridge, Georgia, passed away on August 31, 2026, leaving her family and local community in mourning. Ivy Michelle Christopher was just 23 years old when her life came to an unexpected close. She was born in Memphis, Tennessee, on January 4, 2003, before moving to southwest Georgia and making her home there.
Friends and relatives remember Ivy as someone who lived out loud without apology. She had a personality that blended genuine humbleness with a bold, straight-talking attitude. She never hid who she was, and she did not hesitate to speak her mind when it mattered most.

Her central drive in life was her young son, Briggs Sconyers. Those closest to her said Briggs was her whole world from the moment he was born. Everything she planned, worked for, and dreamed about revolved around giving him a good life and a strong upbringing.
Ivy grew up in the local area and graduated from Bainbridge High School with the Class of 2021. She loved being outside whenever she had free time. You could often find her running on local trails, playing soccer, or spending hours hunting and fishing across South Georgia. Her favorite place to relax was the ocean, where she loved sitting on the beach to unwind.
In recent years, Ivy focused her energy on building a career path. She took classes at Thomas University and Southern Regional Technical College. She wanted to work in human services, helping people who were struggling to find hope and healing in their own lives.
Ivy faced real loss early in her life, having already lost both of her parents, Kenneth Christopher and Andrea Ranstrom Christopher. Despite those heavy losses, she kept moving forward for her son and her family. She stayed very close with her brother, Connor Christopher, his partner Elizabeth, and her young nieces.
A memorial visitation is scheduled for Monday, September 14, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Bryant Funeral Home in Bainbridge. Family members have requested that any memorial donations be made to The Jason Foundation to help support youth programs.
Though her life ended far too soon, those who loved Ivy say her impact will stay with them. They will remember her laughter, her fierce loyalty, and above all, the deep love she had for her little boy.
